Moxibustion Treatment

Toothache

Symptom Analysis

Toothache refers to the pain in the teeth caused by various reasons. As one of the common diseases, toothache is mainly related to the stagnation of fire in the stomach meridian and the deficiency of kidney yin. When the wind evil attacks the meridians, it becomes stagnant in the Yangming, turns into fire, and the fire evil follows the meridian to rise and cause toothache.

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)

Life Tips

1. Seek medical attention promptly when a toothache occurs, and take immediate remedial measures to prevent it from getting worse.

2. Keep the traditional Chinese medicine, Gallnut, at home. Crush it and decoct it with water. Gargle with the warm liquid to provide temporary relief.

3. To avoid the torment of toothache, we must learn to take care of our teeth. A balanced diet and maintaining oral hygiene are important aspects of protecting dental health.

4. Raw vegetables, such as carrots, red radishes, or apples, actually clean the teeth when chewed due to the friction they create on the tooth surface.

5. Consume fewer snacks, especially "soft" foods, sugary foods, or acidic foods (like soda, fruit juices, etc.), as they usually increase the risk of tooth decay.
