With the arrival of Cold Dew, the climate transitions from heat to cold, and the Yin and Yang energies in nature begin to change—Yang energy gradually recedes while Yin energy rises. During this solar term, the balance of Yin and Yang within the body is prone to disruption, which can lead to excessive dampness in the spleen, the accumulation of phlegm, and consequently a dry throat with increased phlegm production. Moxibustion during the Cold Dew can strengthen the spleen and moisten the lungs, clear the throat, and prevent dryness.
Apply moxibustion 4 to 5 days before and after the solar term (a total of 8 to 10 days), it is recommended to do it once a day, for 30 to 40 minutes per acupoint.
