Moxibustion Treatment

Palpitations

Symptom Analysis

Palpitations refer to the sensation of a rapid and forceful heartbeat, accompanied by discomfort in the precordial area, with the presence of abnormally fast or irregular heartbeats. This condition can be seen in the course of various diseases and often coexists with symptoms such as insomnia, forgetfulness, dizziness, and tinnitus. Any cause that leads to abnormalities in the frequency or rhythm of the heart's pulsation can result in palpitations.

Palpitations are also one of the manifestations of sub-health. Although palpitations do not pose a life-threatening concern, the condition can fluctuate and persist, severely affecting one's ability to live and work normally.

Moxibustion can be used to regulate palpitations by dredging meridians, activating collaterals, and harmonizing qi and blood. By adding moxibustion to auxiliary acupoints based on different symptoms, this condition can be managed.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Auxiliary Acupoint Selection

Symptom One: Palpitations accompanied by sweating and shortness of breath.
Symptom Three: Frequent dreaming.
Symptom Four: Cold hands and feet.

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
